The benefits of receiving a therapeutic massage at Massage Artisan are:

+ stress reduction

+ improvement in circulation

+ relief of muscle tension

+ boost to your immune system

+ boost to your overall well-being

+ reduction in adhesions and trigger points

+ pain management

With 16 years of hands on experience from babies to the elderly, I bring many modalities and have many "tools" in my toolbelt to help you get the most out of each tailored session based on your needs and concerns. From relaxing deep tissue techniques to a weighted heating pad, to our own formulated organic massage oils, to offerings of our infrared sauna and heated 6' x 40'  lap pool, your massage experience in our wellness studio offers much more than the typical massage studio.

I offer a variety of therapeutic and relaxing massage modalities such as:

+ Relaxing Swedish massage (lots of flowing strokes and relaxing kneading of the muscles and surrounding tissues)

+ Deep Tissue Massage (If you can breathe through my slow and deeper pressure techniques, there is great relief on the other side. You are in control with deep tissue massage and can let me know at ANY time if the pressure is too much or not enough)

+ Hot Stone Massage (natural basalt stones are heated in water in a stone warmer and used directly on your body with your choice of organic massage oil)

+ Cupping (typically an add-on to any massage, cupping creates space in tissues where adhesions are present. Silicone cups are placed on areas of restricted areas of the body by way of a suction and used in either a static (still position) or dynamic (moving) way.  Cupping may leave discolored circles on your skin post massage due to bringing more blood flow to the area.

+ Prenatal Massage: enjoy therapeutic massage therapy benefits when you are growing a human inside you. We have the pregnant client lay in a side lying position (half session time on Right side, half session time on Left side) with the use of cool comfort bamboo case covered organic bamboo body pillows.

+ Fertility Massage: Trying to get pregnant? Fertility massage offers a hands-on palpation assessment to assess adhesions, and current fluidity status within the nearby and  surrounding tissues by your ovaries. Our fertility massage aims to increase circulation to your abdomen and surrounding reproductive organs, decrease adhesions, decrease feelings of anxiety and increase overall sense of well-being. We work with your cycle to maximize the benefits that fertility massage can offer.

Yes, I can customize your massage to meet your specific needs and preferences. Just let me  know what you're looking for at your first initial visit, or sent me an email with your concerns and goals. I can vary my pressure from light to medium to firm to deep to very deep, or anywhere in between based on your needs, concerns, and goals.

Yes! In many cases, massage therapy can be an eligible medical expense under your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA).

To qualify, the massage must be for a medical reason (such as pain management, injury recovery, stress-related conditions, or doctor-recommended wellness support), not purely relaxation.

🩺 What you’ll need:

Most HSA/FSA plans require a doctor’s note or prescription stating that massage therapy is recommended for a specific health condition. This can come from your physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, or other licensed healthcare provider.

The note should include:

  • Your name
  • The medical reason or diagnosis
  • The recommended frequency and duration (for example, “massage therapy once a month for chronic neck and shoulder tension”)

🧾 Paying with your HSA/FSA card:

You can use your HSA or FSA debit card at checkout just like any other card through our Square system.

Please note that some cards may decline if your provider requires documentation or if the merchant code doesn’t match their system.

If that happens, simply pay out of pocket and request a detailed receipt to submit to your plan for reimbursement.

📋 Important details:

  • Clients are responsible for obtaining and keeping their own doctor’s note or prescription.
  • Massage Artisan/Sarah E. Reynolds LMT does not require a copy of your doctor’s note, but we recommend keeping it for your records.
  • A detailed receipt including your therapist’s license number and service description will be provided for your documentation.
  • Unfortunately, HSA/FSA cards cannot be used for massages provided to a spouse or family member of the cardholder (IRS rule).

Yes! We are currently working on assembling a go-to list of practitioners including licensed massage therapists and aestheticians who are interested and passionate about their craft in helping us create a spa-like atmosphere and experience in others homes. If you are interested in booking an in-home spa party, please email us with specifications of your needs and several potential dates so we can give you our availability and accurate quote before you decide.

We accept Venmo or PayPal through our business accounts, as well as check or cash. We do have a Square card reader for credit cards and HSA/FSA cards.

Because our business is largely based on current clients and their referrals, we have a strong trust with our clients and do not require pre-payment to hold an appointment. However, The first time you no-show or cancel within 24 hours, we will require prepayment for future bookings.

We kindly ask you to give us 48 hours notice of cancellation or needing to reschedule your appointment. 24 hour cancellation is acceptable due to inclement weather, morning of sudden onset sickness or last minute family needs. By giving us this notice we are able to waive any cancellation fee for you and offer the spot to another client in need or who is on our wait list. You will be given our contact information upon booking your appointment in the event you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

If you do not see any available time slots to book, it either means I am fully booked and don't have any available spots to fill or that I have not updated my availability as far out as you are seeking to book. In addition, my current clients can text me directly in which I am able to book them manually in my system, bypassing the online booking option and also filling available time slots that would otherwise show up online. Because my spots tend to book up quickly, I suggest booking your appointment well in advance to secure your session time.

Absolutely! In the even of a last minute cancellation or client needing to reschedule, we may on occasion have a spot open up in which you can book. Please email me at MassageArtisan@gmail.com with "client waitlist" in subject as well as the client, health care practitioner, friend, or family member that referred you to me along with your concerns, pain level and goals for your body, mind and spirit.

Yes. Due to the nature of Massage Therapy and the misconceptions surrounding my type of work, I will only accept clients who can be vetted by way of a direct referral of a current client, friend, family member, or other health practitioner. I do not and will not accept cold-calls from "strangers" who are not a direct referral which can vet them as a real person with real concerns for pain management, stress reduction and professional massage therapy services. Thank you for your understanding.
